Origin of the wood
Every piece starts somewhere else. Here’s where the wood comes from before it’s reborn — rescued from landfill, sorted and worked by hand.
-
Old pallets
I collect discarded pallets that would otherwise end up in landfill. Some are still light and new, others grey and weathered from years outdoors. After dismantling I sort the boards by quality and let them dry until the wood is stable enough to work.
-
Discarded plywood
Plywood left after a job or renovation often ends up as bulky waste. I take those leftovers and cut out the usable parts.
-
Old discarded beams
Old beams left after demolition or renovation often end up as bulky waste. I collect them, remove nails and screws, and cut out the usable parts. The wood is grey and weathered — that gives each piece its own grain.

Discarded planks
Boards left after building or renovation often end up as bulky waste. I collect those leftovers, sort them by length and quality, and cut out the usable parts. Each piece has its own knots and grain.
